The Finn Skinner Project
The Finn Skinner Project is a short film based on an original short story by my sister, Kate Brown. The story is
called "In Stitches" and is about a boy who wakes up to find out that it is his last day on earth. As for the details
of the story, I'm still working on the adaptation, so you'll have to wait.
Finn's House
This first set of pictures are the blueprints of Finn Skinners house. I drew them up at work and then cleaned it
up later. I'm not sure of the exact era of this style, but I wanted something that seemed older.

Below is the finished product. I'm leaving it fairly plain because the end result will be rendered with a shader to make it look flat. Still, I still have to add a few more details before this model is complete.

Finn's Bedroom
This is Finn's bedroom. Making objects is a really long process. As you can see, I'm starting with the big stuff and filling in the
details. I like the floor boards, but they don't look good from every angle. I need to go back and tweak the bitmap to get the size
right size for the room. The car bed was kind of fun. I'll talk more about this room when I get more objects in it.

The Kitchen
This is the kitchen, where most of the original story takes place. I went with a 1960's motif, kind of worn and used but never quite
replaced. The parents sort of whine alot about all the things they didn't get to do because they had Finn, so I made the house lived in
and kind of old, except for Finn's room, which is new, because the parents live vicariously through their son. I love that table by the
way...it's similar to an old Saturn Table I found on ebay...very cool. I spent some time on it because I'm using it in a couple of different
scenes eventually. Also, the end product is supposed to be in HD...I'm a glutton for punishment.

You'll notice a leaf motif on a lot of the fictures throughout the house. The stories are actually part of a series about a town called Manchester. The plan is to give each family a motif...and yes I know I'm thinking big, but I figured with as many models as I'm making for this, you might as well use them. The original plan was to do this in four years, but I think it might be more like thirty. A little at a time I guess. I need some interns.

Animation Tests
These are a couple of animation tests on the shaders and line animations. I'm still messing around with this and tweaking the models to
get them right. Lightwave 9 just came out with a new shader for sketch drawing, I'm kind of wondering if that will work better than Unreal
or BESM? I hope so, because I'm still not happy with the look. I'm almost considering just texturing the whole mess. Make it kind of
soft/story-like. We'll see. I like the 2D feel a lot though, when it's done well.

Miscellaneous
This couch is actually modified from a chair I used on an old project. Their newfound home is in the living
room of Finn's house.
